Mintel Inspire look at the latest restaurant trend for digitally connected consumers

Consumers are more connected than ever, and indeed, consumers have no qualms carrying their phones everywhere they go. According to Mintel’s Mobile Phone Service US July 2011 report, 37% of consumers say they like to be connected to their friends and family wherever they are.

An eatery in LA is offering a 5% discount to diners who don’t use their digital devices at the table.
