The First StageFirst Interview Your first interview will be with one of our in house corporate recruiters who are skilled in quickly assessing your fit to the business and your competencies as required for the role. During the first interview it is important for us to understand your career objectives and equally help you understand how these might be achieved at Mintel. You will be asked to talk us through specific situations or career challenges you have dealt with in order for us to assess your competency level in these areas with real life examples. Sales Professionals All internal and external sales candidates undergo a sales role play in order to make a first-hand assessment of their sales skills and the likely training and support they would need if successful. Sales candidates who are then successful in the first interview will be asked to complete two online surveys prior to their second interview: The Advanced Sales Questionnaire has been designed to assist companies in assessing who will best be able to perform within particular cultures. It is questionnaire based and the results help guide interview questions more accurately. The EQi survey is an assessment that examines an individual’s social and emotional strengths and weaknesses. Research Professionals Prior to their second interview, all candidates for research and analytical roles are asked to prepare a practical exercise to demonstrate their analytical and presentation skills and to give the candidate a first-hand feel for what the role entails. Some positions may also include additional role-specific evaluations. |
