Recruitment Process – What you should expect

At Mintel we ensure that all people who apply for a fulltime role have a personalised response within a week, after their personal details have been reviewed in person against current open positions and assessed for future talent pools across the business.

If your application is successful then you can expect a detailed interview process which will enable you to understand the role, company and opportunity in fine detail and will enable us to assess your skills and fit to the business, both for the role you are applying for and also your potential longer term growth opportunities.

Prior to a face-to-face interview, all candidates are telephone screened to ensure that the candidate’s profile and career objectives are aligned to those of the vacancy. Throughout the process, candidates receive direct detailed feedback about their performance in a timely manner.

If the telephone interview is successful, then candidates will be asked to complete a Forte Institute questionnaire online. Forté (a French word meaning “one’s strengths”) is an interpersonal communication system that identifies a person’s natural communication style preferences and strengths, how they adapt to a specific individual and/or environment, and how they are most likely coming across to others.

The results of the questionnaire will be shared and used to aid discussion during the interview process.
