About the webinar:
Americans love sodium - in fact, most of us consume about 50% more of it than we should. But as public health organizations, consumer advocacy groups and government scrutinize sodium consumption, companies are scrambling to reduce sodium across their portfolios. Momentum is building for a sodium crackdown, and the industry is already starting to act. Have you prepared for this projected wave of reformulation?

Join David Lockwood and Krista Faron of Mintel's Research Consultancy group as they help you understand issues related to sodium reduction including:

  • Why sodium has become such an urgent issue
  • How many Americans are affected by sodium-related health issues
  • How government and industry are responding

Using just-released consumer data, David and Krista will also explore where consumers fit into this movement. Specifically, they'll discuss:

  • Which consumers care about sodium
  • How they perceive sodium in various categories and channels
  • What sodium reduction messaging is best accepted
