With a slew of exciting, innovative products launched in past years, India’s biscuit and juice markets have experienced rapid evolution. Using Mintel Global New Products Database (GNPD), here we highlight ten interesting Indian product launches from both the biscuit and juice categories to inspire companies and manufacturers looking to grow their presence in these spaces.

BISCUITS

Nilgiri’s 1905 Health for Life Oats & Jamoon Cookies
These cookies contain jamoon fruit which is traditionally associated with sugar reduction, and are said to be ideal for diabetic patients. The vegetarian product has no added sugar or maida.

Moon Foods E-Millet Energy Cookies
This product is made with organic jaggery and is free from wheat flour, baking powder, artificial colours, flavours and added white sugar. It claims to be rich in minerals and resistant starch, and constitutes a good source of dietary fibre.

Bébé Burp Finger Millet Cookies
The cookies are marketed for babies who are over eight months old. The homemade and natural cookies are made with certified organic ingredients and claim to be free from artificial colours and preservatives.

Azista Taste Good Bitter Gourd Biscuits
These biscuits are said to be high in fibre, diabetic-friendly, and free from cholesterol and added sugar. It contains bitter gourd vegetable as an ingredient which is supposedly beneficial for consumers suffering from Type I and Type II diabetes. This product is also said to help in preventing diabetic complications such as nephropathy, cataract and insulin resistance.

Xplor Sugar-Free Holy Basil Cumin Cookies
These cookies contain tulsi which contains rich antioxidant properties and shields the body against free radicals. The piquant jeera (cumin) in the cookies claims to offer medicinal benefits due to its anti-diabetic, immunologic and antimicrobial properties.

JUICES

Smoodies Super Spinach 100% Fruit & Veggie Smoothie
This vegetarian smoothie is a blend of banana, spinach, orange, lemon and pineapple. It contains no added sugar or preservatives and is said to be gently pasteurised.

Kiva Wheatgrass Detox Shots
These ready-to-drink detox shots are said to taste best when chilled. It contains no processed sugar and retails in a pack containing six shots of 40ml each.

Alo Frut Sweet Lemon Juice with Aloe Vera Pulp and Juice
This juice is said to have the most refreshing and healthy fusion of aloe vera gel juice, pulp and fruit blends. Aloe vera as an ingredient is known as a rich source of vitamins, minerals and essential amino acids. This, along with sweet lemon, offer a unique fusion of health and taste.

ITC B Natural Mixed Fruit & Dry Fruits Juice
This juice is said to be a delicious combination of mixed fruit and dry fruits. This beverage claims to be free from synthetic colours, artificial flavours and added preservatives.

Raw Pressery Shield Valencia Orange, Carrot, Ginger Cold Pressed Juice
This juice has no added water, is low in calories, and high in soluble fibre. It is said to be cold pressed without any heat or oxidation, which helps in preserving its natural nutrition, fibre and shelf life.
