“With the last UK summer bank holiday weekend about to start, Mintel wanted to cheer British consumers during their long week end with a cool story on ice cream, a market which has withstood economic difficulties. The story was picked up by Talking Retail, the website dedicated to retail industry news and NAM News Network – as well as more to follow this weekend.

Channel Five viewers may also have seen Richard Cope, Principal Trend Analyst at Mintel on the Wright Stuff on Channel Five this week on the back of our story on rising food prices in cinemas – commentating on this issue as a consumer trend. Keep an eye out for Mintel’s London HQ – and specifically our airstream caravan – as the filming location! Richard is at 27:50 mins in.

The story also made it to the Daily News – national Sri Lanka newspaper. And with regards to the wine market, Mintel was quoted the Independent on wine retailing. Furthermore, we feature in a great piece in the FT Adviser – with the head of investment promotion at Enterprise citing Mintel figures on food provenance.
