As part of our German expansion, we are looking for a self-motivated and diligent Sales Intern to support our team in Dusseldorf. This six-month internship will suit a candidate who has to complete an internship as part of their studies ("Pflichtpraktikum"). The role will offer a great opportunity to develop your skills set across account management, business development and client service. It is an exciting time to join Mintel as we embark on a global expansion and are growing rapidly in the German market.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Implement strategic initiatives and take responsibility for projects in the area of account management and new business
  • Identify potential clients and support our goal of adding more international brands and local champions
  • Contribute your own valuable ideas to help us continually improve our strategies to bring out the best for our customers
  • Create email templates to drive our prospects interest
  • Support our accounts with tailor-made service plans
  • Shadow client trainings, presentations and negotiations

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Studies in business administration with a focus on sales, marketing, strategy, communication or a related field
  • Ideally one completed internship in sales, marketing or a related field
  • Interested in trends and innovations in the FMCG space (in particular in the food & drink, beauty, leisure and tech industries)
  • Fluency in German and English
  • An individual with an analytical, creative mindset
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Good with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
  • A people person, you’re great with people on the phone and in person; you’re a team player and a great communicator

Hiring Conditions For This Internship

 

  • You will receive 1000 EUR per month
  • This internship can possibly evolve into a working student position or full-time position within Mintel Germany’s Sales department
  • An enrollment certificate is mandatory
