While 2018 has had its share of challenges, it’s been a really exciting year for Mintel as we delivered fresh and innovative solutions for our clients.

We recently launched a series of new products after dedicating investment and thorough development. This includes Mintel Indian Consumer, a first-of-its-kind consumer intelligence platform, offering interactive research tools, unique data sets and local expertise for businesses selling in the Indian market.

We also expanded the global reach of Mintel Purchase Intelligence. Now at the fingertips of clients across the US, UK, Australia and France, Purchase Intelligence benchmarks consumer reactions to new food and drink launches so clients can immediately understand and analyse what is driving purchase decisions, helping them produce more successful and innovative products.

Mintel spent a good part of the year expanding our offices globally and hiring more colleagues with cutting-edge skills. Today, I’m proud to say, we have a global team exceeding 1,000 people and this is set to grow by another 30% over the next few years.

For the immediate future, we’re working hard on new initiatives and more innovations to help our clients make better business decisions, faster, and to expand Mintel’s expertise as the world’s leading market intelligence agency. I’m particularly looking forward to:

  • Mintel Futures, a global team devoted to better understanding what’s next in market intelligence and how Mintel will lead that disruption, as well as better understanding our clients’ needs and enhancing the future of consumer behaviour insights.
  • Our mantra of ‘being bold’ that will lead everything from our research and content, to our relationships with clients, partners and the wider business communities around the world.
  • Expanding and deepening our corporate social responsibility initiatives through our global MintelGives programme, which supports employee and corporate charitable giving through donations of time, money, advocacy and expertise.
