Here we aee the rare case of an ancient food that has found a place in modern food processing. The fruit contains flavour notes of caramel, pumpkin and maple and is currently the most popular ice cream flavour in Peru. Lucuma is a great source of antioxidants, fiber, vitamins & minerals, especially beta-carotene and other B vitamins. THE MARY BERRY EFFECT: GRANS GLAM UP?? Since The Great British Bake Off began, Mary Berry has received increasing media attention for her age-appropriate glamour. Each week she appears immaculately dressed, with each outfit more impressive as the seasons progress. The celebrity cook is now credited with setting fashion trends amongst older women. This has not gone unnoticed amongst her co-stars, with Paul Hollywood quoted as saying, “Whatever Mary wears, sells out. Consumers want to have some sort of input into what they buy, as they increasingly see themselves as complex, multifaceted, or even ‘multi-identitied’ individuals. The growing number of personalised skin and haircare products in the German market highlights that consumers want to be treated according to their personal set of needs, a trend that beauty manufacturers cannot afford to ignore. WHAT OPPORTUNITIES CAN BE HARVESTED IN THE BRAZILIAN ORGANIC MARKET? One of the main goals of organic food products is to protect the environment. The main features are to not use pesticides, chemical fertilizers or synthetic substances that harm the environment. According to Brazilian legislation, in order for food to be considered organic, the production process must include responsible use of soil, water, air and other natural resources while respecting social and cultural relations.
