Mintel Inspire looks at new innovations in the oral hygiene market.

Consumers are busier than ever. As a result, we’ve seen a growing demand for products and services that help streamline their lives and help them get the most out of the time and effort they expend as tolerance levels decline. According to Mintel’s Customer Relationship Management US January 2011 report, 74% of consumers consider long waits on the phone “intolerable.”

The Beam Toothbrush is a Bluetooth-enabled device that can monitor brushing behavior such as how long the user is brushing their teeth and what areas they concentrate on and track their results via an app.
