Earlier today the news broke that Dairy Crest is being bought by Canadian dairy company Saputo. Mintel Associate Director of Food & Drink, David Faulkner, worked at Dairy Crest for over 20 years – eventually becoming Head of Insights at the company. Here he analyses the takeover with Edward Bergen, Global Food & Drink Analyst – discussing the implications, as well as the elephant in the room – Brexit.
