With Apple announcing the launch of a new consumer credit card our financial services analysts Irene Salazar and Douglas Kitchen discuss why the tech giant has made the move, what the chances are of it succeeding in the UK and how existing credit card providers can rise to the challenge of Apple entering the market.

Irene joined Mintel in 2018 as a Financial Services Analyst, researching and writing Mintel Reports and Analyst Insights. Prior to joining Mintel, Douglas spent three years gaining experience in both Market Risk and Operations. He has a BA (Hons) in politics and international relations from the University of Reading.
