[WATCH] Trending ingredients to watch: Hydroxydecyl Ubiquinone

Mintel experts track the trending ingredients and new product launches, spotlight the trends affecting the market and its future growth. In this episode, we’re looking at the super antioxidant – Hydroxydecyl Ubiquinone.

It is a coenzyme Q10 analogue that is naturally present in the human body and has stronger antioxidant and free radical scavenging capabilities. According to Mintel GNPD, Hydroxydecyl Ubiquinone remains a relatively niche ingredient and has shown a small increase in usage in skincare products in the past five years. Skincare products containing Edaravone are mainly for facial/neck care and eye care, with a focus on anti-aging and anti-wrinkle claims.
