Meet the presenter
Simon Moriarty
Director of Trends EMEA
Simon is an experienced consumer behaviour specialist with over fifteen years’ experience of content creation, strategic management, product development, global team leadership and delivery of actionable and in-depth insight across global markets including China, Brazil, India and the UK.
Meet the panellists
Toby Clark
VP of Insights
Toby has worked at Mintel for 15 years and leads the large team of researchers who produce over 500 business reports per year on UK and European market sectors. He also oversees Mintel’s quarterly reports covering consumer confidence and the state of the economy.
Neil Mason
Category Director – Retail
Neil manages the teams that produce the European Retail Reports. Neil joined Mintel in 1995 and previously worked as Head of Fashion/Beauty and Personal Care/Household, and Head of UK Retail. Before joining Mintel, he worked in the food and publishing industries. He has a BSc in Business Studies/Marketing.
Zach Emmanuel
Technology Analyst
Zach researches and writes reports on the consumer technology sector, having joined Mintel in October 2018. He previously worked for IT publication Computer Weekly and aviation news website Future Travel Experience. Zach graduated in 2016 after completing a Journalism degree at the University of Lincoln.
Francesca Smith
Lifestyles Analyst
Francesca joined Mintel in September 2021 and specialises in researching and writing consumer lifestyle reports. She covers cross-category consumer topics and consumer groups, including working lifestyles, sustainability and Generation Z. She has prior experience of analysing consumer trends and market analysis within home retail categories. Francesca holds a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Sheffield.
