Merge the consumer priorities of value and sustainability to change the future of homecare
We are thrilled to announce that Mintel will attend the leading congress for the European detergents/cleansers, cosmetics and fragrance industry, SEPAWA Congress in Berlin. Join our analyst Richard Hopping, Director of Household Care Insights at Mintel for his presentation on how to “Merge the consumer priorities of value and sustainability to change the future of homecare”.
Consumers typically demonstrate a willingness to act more sustainably, but this intent does not always translate into real action. In the wake of COVID-19, there was much speculation on the potential for a surge towards more sustainable consumer behaviours. Instead, the reality of huge financial pressure on consumers has resulted in a shift of priorities more sharply towards value.
However, many recent habits adopted by consumers to save money are the same as those that will help to benefit the environment too. For many, the financial savings on offer are enough of an incentive to change the way they carry out household care chores. We are therefore at a critical time for the future development of the household care industry, to turn current behaviours into longer term habits and therefore encourage real change for the betterment of the planet.
In this presentation, Richard Hopping, Director of Household Care Insights, will make sense of the data and offer bold and actionable recommendations on the opportunities that exist as value and sustainability become more closely entwined.
