In the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, innovation remains critical to future strategy while also being pivotal to how Canadian credit card issuers navigate a landscape that changes daily. Card issuers need to balance being sensitive to the rapidly changing situation while also seeking out new opportunities to add value as consumer needs evolve. In this presentation, Andrew Davidson, SVP/Chief Insights Officer, Comperemedia, examines credit card marketing innovation both before and during the crisis by looking at brand strategies, new partnerships and emerging technologies that have the potential to improve the lives of customers. Innovative companies are proactively seeking out opportunities to add value and/or address “pain points” across the customer the journey.
