August 11, 2020
Less than a minute

A couple of months ago, Mintel Global Food Analyst Melanie Bartelme and Mintel Senior Trends Analyst Diana Kelter discussed the recent developments of foodservice e-commerce: the evaluations of Instacart and Doordash and the Just Eat acquisition of Grubhub and what they mean to consumers and the category long-term.

In recent developments, DoorDash is launching DashMart, a convenience store focused delivery service that includes market-style offerings from local restaurants. This follows news that Uber Eats expanded into grocery delivery as well.

Our Mintel experts are back to discuss the latest in the evolving food delivery space:

Diana Kelter is a Senior Trends Analyst at Mintel. She investigates how cultural, lifestyle and technology shifts take shape across sectors and leverages Mintel data across trend observations.

Melanie Zanoza Bartelme is a Global Food Analyst at Mintel, providing insights on global innovation and consumer trends across a number of food categories.
