It is is native to the tropical rainforests of Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America. The the high content of anthocyanins in pitaya can fight free radicals and effectively anti-aging.

Among New Launches in Mintel GNPD, in the last three years (Dec 2019 – Nov 2022), the common fruit juice drink category has the largest share (15.5%), and there are also relatively niche sub-categories, such as pastry and instant noodles, which account for a smaller share of the total (2.7%; 2.4%). Pitaya ingredients have penetrated into many Asian, European and American countries, and the Chinese market has the largest share and is increasing year by year.
