The plant-based diet trend is creating opportunities for a wide range of plant-based foods such as plant-based meat and dairy alternatives. However, for plant-based meat and dairy alternatives to secure the loyalty of the mass market, there are some key challenges for producers to address around attributes such as taste, cost, naturalness and nutrition.

Emma Schofield, Associate Director – Global Food Science will be delivering the presentation ‘Ingredients to watch in the plant-based space’ at Fi-Global Connect. She will review three ingredients holding potential to deliver meat and dairy alternatives that start to address some of the key challenges to consumer acceptance of these foods.
