Mintel welcomes new executive director of business development & accounts, BPC

Chicago (April 30, 2014)—Mintel Beauty and Personal Care is proud to announce the addition of Mikel Sacher, who joins the BPC team as Director of Business Development and Accounts. Mikel brings to the position an abundance of experience and knowledge, including 20+ years of production, sales, management and training experience and a proven track record of working with Fortune 500 companies in the beauty, luxury and fashion sectors.

“I’m obsessed with innovation—which is what Mintel is known for and I am excited to combine my passion for what drives success in the beauty industry with Mintel data to help brands make smarter decisions,” says Mikel. “I have always loved the newness in the beauty world, I remember really getting hooked when I worked for the Aveda brand during the time that the brand transitioned into an Estee Lauder brand. I look forward to translating my experience and leadership skills into my new role and meet the challenges and demands of top beauty and personal care brands with Mintel’s research tools.”

Working from Mintel’s New York office, Mikel will be responsible for managing existing client accounts and cultivating new business for the Mintel Beauty & Personal Care platform – an essential tool for the beauty industry, used by 3,000 brands globally.

Mikel previously worked at WGSN Group as Senior Director Business Development where she helped many clients reach their fashion and beauty goals. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Northeastern University.
