International Localism: With so much global uncertainty (the economy, sustainability, supply chains and conflict), there will be a greater movement to protect local resources and boost local businesses.

Intentional Spending: Moving through uncertainty requires a wise use of resources. Consumers are refocusing on what value means to them and are spending more intentionally.

Hyper Fatigue: The fast pace of daily life, growing use of technology and having to move from crisis to crisis are creating fatigue among consumers, requiring brands to lend a helping hand.

Elysha manages the Asia Pacific Mintel Trends team made up of expert analysts and trend spotters. With a background in advertising, consumer psychology and behavioural economics, she analyses and identifies the ‘why’ of consumer behaviour. She oversees content for Mintel Trends as well as client servicing for the region, helping clients apply consumer Trends insights to their ideation and communication strategies.
