The global pandemic and rising inflation are contributing to pressures on consumers spending power across the Asia-Pacific region. The cost of living is going up, and consumers are having to adapt their behaviours to deal with the repercussions.

This Mintel Trends webinar will address the current situation, and how we got here, using Mintel consumer data to show how consumers are reacting to the emerging situation. It will consider the growing desire for more flexibility, both of products and access to them, and how technology can help in this.

It will also address how consumers are changing their behaviours in light of the growing inflation, and what brands are doing, or can do, to help consumers mitigate the impact of inflation on their lives. We will look at how consumers are looking to brands to take a lead in coming up with new, innovative solutions to make their lives easier.

Finally, Mintel will explore the continued need for fulfilment among consumers, even in a difficult financial situation, and how brands can bring to consumers affordable joy to bring some relief from all the bad news. We shall explore the little joys in life that brands can bring to even mundane daily life tasks, to elevate experiences and create more positivity at home, work or while shopping. We shall also consider how brands can engage with consumers to bring more positive change to individuals, families and communities.
